We’ve recently received a mail from Matt regarding the Wordpress Domain Policy, where they ask webmasters not to use “Wordpress” word in domain names.

We looked for wpcenter.com, but it is registered as a premium domain so the price is 3k, we have searched for other good combinations, but most of them are already registered. When we first thought about launching WordpressCenter.com, we focused a lot on the “center” idea. WordpressCenter.com was developed as a future point for wordpress users and developers.

We were thinking about a job board, a marketplace and things like those that wordpress community needs and it doesn’t have right now. Not being able to find and register a domain that statisfies our concept made us to rethink the concept. So that’s what we did.

WordpressCenter.com will be moved on a new domain name. The ideea of a center for wordpressers has changed, but the idea of releasing free wordpress themes that matters is there, unchanged and the themes that we will release on our new project will be as the same quality, maybe better.

We finished the hole plan, design and we are currently working at the code of the new website, but for the launch we need to more products, that takes us a little more time. One of those products is Markted that you all are waiting for, the second one is similar.

So I wrote this article to apologize for everybody that has subscribed, followed or visited us just for Markted theme, it will be released on the new website until the 10th of May.
